Protecting Ghana’s amphibian populations and promoting a society that respects and appreciates nature and wildlife

About SAVE THE FROGS! Ghana

Founded in September 2011, Save Ghana Frogs is West Africa’s first nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to amphibian conservation. The mission of Save Ghana Frogs  is to protect Ghana’s amphibian populations and to promote a society that respects and appreciates nature and wildlife.

Focused Efforts

Save Ghana Frogs is focused on growing the number of Ghanaian amphibian biologists; creating a new national park in the biodiverse Atewa Hills; instituting programs to replace the frog meat trade and illegal logging; producing up-to-date field guides and other educational materials, and much more.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Africa is fraught with social and environmental problems, and, with over 80% of Ghana's original rainforests having already been cleared, at least third of the country's amphibians are under threat. Donate today and help us Save Ghana Frogs!
